Before ascending to the role of AVP, Cann served as ITS technology director from 2012 to 2023, where he oversaw services related to statistical analysis, technology consultation, and multimedia creative services. His experience in managing a diverse portfolio of 300 applications, including the Eagle Apps Student Information System, equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the technological challenges and opportunities facing the university.
Cann’s career also includes significant roles at Northeastern University and the MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His educational background is just as impressive, featuring a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and master’s degrees in cybersecurity and leadership from Boston College.
